Malteser chocolate muffins!

Ingredients - 300g plain flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
80g light brown sugar
90g granulated sugar
120g unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp of salt
2 medium eggs
200g milk chocolate
12 tbsp Malteser spread
Handful of crushed Maltesers
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees fan. Line a muffin pan with 12 muffin cases.
In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugars. Whisk to combine.
Melt your butter in the microwave and set aside to cool.
Add the vanilla extract, eggs and buttermilk to your butter and whisk until combined.
Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients. Fold until just combined.
Add in the chocolate and gently mix until well distributed throughout.
Spoon the batter evenly into your muffin cases. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean.
Once the muffins have cooled, spread some Malteser spread on top of the muffins and sprinkle over some of the crushed Maltesers.
