Instructions -
Preheat your oven to 160 degrees fan/180 degrees conventional and line your loaf tin with parchment paper.
In a bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add in the orange extract and eggs. Mix until combined.
Add in the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and salt. Mix until combined.
Fold in the chocolate orange pieces until evenly distributed and then pour the cake batter into your loaf tin. Spread the cake out using the back of a spoon so it’s even. Bake in the oven for 55-60 minutes or until a knife comes out clean when inserted.
Once the cake has baked, take it out of the oven and leave it aside to cool down completely.
Once cool, make your buttercream. Mix together the butter and icing sugar until smooth. Add in your melted chocolate orange and milk. Mix until combined.
Either pipe or spread the buttercream on top of the cake. Add your sprinkles and chocolate orange segments to your liking.
Once decorated, place in the fridge to firm the buttercream up or serve immediately.
Enjoy!
