Milkyway loaf cake!

Ingredients -

150g granulated sugar

150g light brown sugar

150g plain flour

150g unsalted butter, melted

100g dark chocolate, melted

75ml whole milk

25g cocoa powder

3 medium eggs

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla extract


Buttercream:

150g unsalted butter

300g icing sugar

20g cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla

Instructions -

  1. Preheat your oven to 160 degrees fan and line a loaf tin with baking paper.

  2. Melt together your dark chocolate and butter in the microwave.

  3. Once melted, add your eggs, sugar, milk and vanilla extract. Mix to combine.

  4. Add in your flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. Mix until combined.

  5. Pour your cake batter into your loaf tin and bake for 1 hour.

  6. Once baked, leave aside to cool and move onto making your buttercream.

  7. Beat together your butter, icing sugar, cocoa powder and vanilla.

  8. Either spread or pipe your buttercream onto the loaf cake. Decorate with Milkyway stars and crispy rolls.

  9. Serve and enjoy!
