Instructions -
Preheat your oven to 170 degrees fan and line three 8” cake tins.
In a bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder.
In another bowl beat together the butter, sugar, oil and vanilla extract. Beat for 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
Add in the eggs one by one, mixing until just incorporated after each egg.
Add in half of the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
Add half the milk and mix until combined.
Add the remaining dry ingredients and milk and mix until smooth.
Pour the cake batter evenly between the cake tins and bake in the oven for 20-22 minutes.
Once baked leave aside to fully cool. Move on to making your buttercream.
Beat together the butter, icing sugar, melted chocolate and milk until smooth.
Place your first cake layer on your cake board or plate and either pipe or spread the buttercream on. Drizzle your chocolate sauce over the top and then carefully place the second layer on top.
Repeat those steps until you have completely decorated your cake. If you like, add some pieces of kinder chocolate on top.
Serve and enjoy!
