Cadbury Caramel cookie bars!

280g plain flour
120g unsalted butter
100g milk chocolate, chopped
120g Cadbury Caramel chocolate, chopped
60g dark brown sugar
40g granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp cornflour (optional)
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp salted caramel extract (or vanilla)
A pinch of salt
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees fan and line a 9x9 inch square dish with parchment paper.
In a bowl beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add in the egg and your salted caramel/vanilla extract. Mix to combine.
Add in the plain flour, corn flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda. Mix until a dough forms.
Add in your chocolate and mix to distribute evenly.
Push the dough down evenly in the square dish and put in the oven.
Bake for 16-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Once baked, leave aside to cool.
Once cool, serve and enjoy!
