Cadbury Caramel cookie bars!

Ingredients -

280g plain flour

120g unsalted butter

100g milk chocolate, chopped

120g Cadbury Caramel chocolate, chopped

60g dark brown sugar

40g granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp cornflour (optional)

1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda

1 tsp salted caramel extract (or vanilla)

A pinch of salt


Instructions -

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees fan and line a 9x9 inch square dish with parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add in the egg and your salted caramel/vanilla extract. Mix to combine.

  4. Add in the plain flour, corn flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda. Mix until a dough forms.

  5. Add in your chocolate and mix to distribute evenly.

  6. Push the dough down evenly in the square dish and put in the oven.

  7. Bake for 16-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

  8. Once baked, leave aside to cool.

  9. Once cool, serve and enjoy!
